What is the role of the Oswego Economic Development Corporation?
The OEDC is a public/private partnership that facilitates the retention, expansion and attraction of business investment to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life for the Oswego community.
What is the OEDC's relationship with the Village of Oswego?
The OEDC has been designated as the economic development agency for the Village of Oswego . The Village President and Village Administrator serve on the OEDC Board of Directors. The OEDC Executive Director attends Village Board meetings, and has an excellent working relationship with the staff at Village Hall.
How can the OEDC help me identify a site for my business?
The OEDC maintains a comprehensive database of available properties, buildings and lease spaces. Our staff can conduct a site search based on your specifications, and then schedule a site tour. We do not charge a fee or a commission for this service.

How can I get information on annexation and/or site plan approval?
Annexation agreements and site plans are submitted to the Village's Community Development Department. After reviewing the plans, their staff will prepare a report prior to your presentation to the Plan Commission. How can I get information on building permits?
Building permit applications are submitted to the Village's Building Department. Their staff will review the building plans and provide comments to the petitioner. For more information on the review and inspection process, including fees, please call the Building Department at (630) 554-2310.
